After some delays getting the inspection, Monday was the day. The inspection passed with no issues and work resumed again after the weekend. First on the agenda for this week is flooring. Day one of flooring install didn't show much progress.

Day Two of Flooring
Day two of flooring made it most of the way through the kitchen and almost half way through the living room.

Day Three of Flooring
After three days of flooring install, the kitchen still wasn't finished and we were maybe 2/3 of the way through the living room.

Day Four of Flooring
After four days of flooring installation, the kitchen and living room are complete. The front hall hadn't been started, nor had the front hall closet or master bedroom closet extension.

The conversation at the end of day four of flooring installation: the drywall installers didn't make it out on this date as planned and should be here the following day, Friday. Since the last two weeks have been nothing but delays and poor communication, my expectations weren't high.
Drywall Hanging Begins
The drywall crew arrived at 7:00 a.m. and got right to work. They let us know they thought there might not be enough drywall for the job, so I relayed that message to our general contractor. Turns out, they were right. In spite of that, there was lots of progress today.

Day Five of Flooring
After five days of flooring installation - we're still not finished.

So that's where we're at after a little more than four weeks of work. The following Monday, assuming all drywall is hung, drywall inspection should happen, which will be followed by taping and mudding. Here's hoping the cabinets are installed by the end of next week and the counter template can be taken. Somewhere around there, electrical will be finished, painting will be done, and we'll install electronics. We're hoping to have furniture before the holidays.
We're getting closer. Next up, we'll be closing in on cabinet install.
