Before the Labor Day holiday, we were almost ready for inspection. The electrician came back on Tuesday and wrapped up the work needed to prepare for the inspection by Wednesday morning. We have a few additional items we're adding to ensure the living room offers us the flexibility my tech addiction requires.

The First Snag

Here's where we hit our first snag. The inspector arrived as planned Wednesday morning but did not perform the inspection. Apparently, the engineers recommendations weren't approved by the front office. That's expected to come through any day but we don't really have a timetable for when exactly it will happen.

In the meantime, flooring has been delivered so that it can acclimate to the environment over the weekend so the install can begin first thing the following week.

At this point, we remain so close to inspection and seeing the space really start to take shape with drywall and flooring planned for next week.
