In Then & Now Part 1, I mentioned that the living room was not quite properly furnished. This past weekend, the last of our living room furniture arrived so we can officially call our remodel complete. That said, we'll live in the space for a few months before we decide if we want to add an ottoman or chair to the space. It's pretty cozy as is. We've had a few other updates since Part 1, such as ...
I also finished organizing the closets, including the hall closet that wasn't remodeled, so I'll share a much better before and after view of the master closet and linen closet that shows how we're using the space. It's so much more organized than before. Here are some quick links to get you to the before/after you're interested in.
Kitchen Updates
The kitchen got a minor (in the overall scheme of things) update that's more major as part of the smart home ecosystem I'm building. I added a motorized blackout shade from BlindsMagic that looks so much better than the tan placeholder drape we had up before.

Living Room Updates
The living room was pretty close the last time around, but we've since replaced the rug and sofa and added the last piece of furniture. We sold our old FlexSteel sectional on Craigslist and replaced it with a custom sectional from Crate and Barrel's Axis collection. With three kids and a dog, we're probably pushing it a bit with the Douglas, Lace fabric, but we wanted to lighten the room with the piece. Amy chose a rug from Tumble to match our motif. The final piece is an Annie Charcoal Brown Wood Storage Bookcase with Shelves by Leanne Ford, also from Crate and Barrel. I'm not going to lie, this might be my favorite piece of furniture in the house.

The space is cozy. We originally thought we might have enough room for a chair near the fireplace, but now we're thinking that would be overkill. The sectional takes up most of the room. Once the fireplace is clean, we can declutter the space (and the sun room), put up the Christmas decorations, and call it complete.
Sun Room Updates
The sun room also got a little update to help it serve as a mudroom to aid us in organizing our lives.

Master Closet Organization
A quick update now that we've moved everything in. I also added a motion sensor so the light turns on/off automatically when we enter/exit.

Linen Closet Organization
A quick update to show the organization. We used a combination of these Vtopmart 4 Pack Large Stackable Storage Drawers, BAUMFEUER Acrylic Shelf Dividers, and a Ynelyase 2 Tier Lazy Susan Organizer. The drawers helped organize most of what cluttered our shelves. The dividers made towel and bedding organization much neater. The lazy Susan made Amy's makeup more accessible. Then we added a storage bin for hair care products to help organize under the sink. It's SO MUCH better.

As I mentioned, we're about to have the fireplace cleaned to ensure it's good to go after all the construction, drywall dust, flooring residue, and polyurethane fumes. Then we can finish decluttering, decorating, and ridding the house of all the things we no longer need but someone else can still use. For now, we're pretty much done.
